Welcome to\u00a0the\u00a01st\u00a0annual\u00a0UCSD Ultrasound Summit, an education course designed specifically to teach medical providers\u00a0the basics of emergency ultrasound. We will be welcoming ultrasound enthusiasts to\u00a0<\/span>sunny San Diego for 2 days of high yield ultrasound\u00a0education\u00a0and plenty of hands on ultrasound experience!<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

This will be a two-day course introducing the core principles of emergency ultrasound. On day one, attendees will learn the basic fundamentals of emergency ultrasound and components of the machines, followed by lectures in trauma, abdominal\/retroperitoneal ultrasound and vascular skills.<\/h2>\n

Day two will be focused on cardiac, DVT, and obstetrics and gynecology. Afternoon sessions will be held each day to practice that day\u2019s lecture material on real-life models, with a 5-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio.<\/h2>\n

A separate half day vascular-tract-only geared towards nurses\/non-physicians will also be offered. Attendees will get the same lectures introducing ultrasound physics and components of the machines, followed by vascular skills.<\/h2>\n

This course is open to practicing clinicians from all specialties, advanced providers, and nurses. It will be led by UCSD emergency medicine ultrasound trained faculty<\/a> and our current fellows.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
